Music Therapy
Music Therapy involves the use of music to help accomplish therapeutic goals that often have nothing to do with music. Music therapy helps many children learn their ABC’s by singing the “Alphabet Song”. Music therapy is a means by which it serves as a method for teaching and makes the task more memorable and enjoyable. Music therapy goal is then, in this scenario, to enhance a child’s academic goal of learning and not being solely a musical purpose.
Music therapy is provided at Resounding Healing by board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) services to achieve the varied goals of our clientele. Music therapy, as provided by Resounding Healing, is researched-based striving to deliver effective results and evoke positive change.
Music Therapy is defined by the American Music Therapy Association Musictherapy.org, as “Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional (MT-BC) who has completed an approved music therapy program.” Resounding Healing ascribes to provide music therapy to our clients as recognized by the clinical community.
