In this experimental group of 111 volunteer subjects “Group drumming resulted in…increased natural killer cell activity…which demonstrated immune modulation in a direction opposite to that expected with the classical stress response.” (IE: Drumming together in a group modified the immune system in a way that would suggest the absence of stress.)
